Hello readers! When I was a student in class 11, I lacked proper guidance on how to prepare for board exams and competitive exams at the same time. I will share some general words of wisdom with you in this post :
- Firstly, do not get nervous! Be aware, there’s plenty of career options to choose from. Not everyone is cut out to study engineering or medicine. I know lots of non-engineers who have done very well for themselves in life. So, if you’re not a science student, it’s not the end of the world. In fact, it’s just the beginning.
- Secondly, start off slow. What you learn (for e.g Calculus) at the beginning of class 11 will form the basis for the next 2 years. Take your time to learn basic concepts from scratch and do not hesitate to ask questions in school or in your tuition classes.
- Thirdly, practice as many different types of problems as you can! Problem solving is a must to clear your concepts and will tell you in which areas you need more practice. Remember, you will have to solve problems within a stipulated time in competitive exams. Memorizing definitions won’t work.
- I will keep on listing a lot of specific info, such as which books to follow and for what exam, so keep reading. Cheers, and good luck.
