I found that the children who exercised regularly had better endurance, strength, and flexibility. They were slimmer, more lean and had healthy body weights. They are reported being more active throughout the day. Also, I found that they were more cheerful and more attentive in class.
Benefits of regular exercise
Exercise has many benefits. Regular exercise improves blood circulation and keeps the heart healthy, thereby preventing cardiovascular diseases. It also enhances bone density and muscular strength. Exercises also release endorphins which help a person manage stress and anxiety. Physical activity increases blood and oxygen flow to the brain, thereby improving cognitive abilities of a person. It reduces fat in the body and helps the person maintain a proper body weight for their age. If group exercises or group sports are played often, it enhances enhance social skills, teamwork and sportsman qualities. In conclusion, regular exercise is essential for the physical and mental well-being of a person.
