Answer: The above activity can be carried out as follows:
Aim: To observe the drop of water under the microscope and make the necessary conclusions.
Materials Required: Moist soil, beaker, water, microscope.
Procedure:
(i) Add some of the moist soil from the field to the beaker and add some water to it.
(ii) Wait for the soil particles to settle down, take a drop of water from the beaker and observe it under a microscope.
Observations:
You will observe rod-shaped bacteria.

Conclusions:
We conclude that microorganisms such as rod-shaped bacteria called bacilli are widely present in soil.
